Camino days

Two days in. First day was crossing the Pyrenees, St Jean Pied de Port to Roncevalles, height gain of 1200 metres over 15 miles. Very steep parts. It felt like we were escaping from France into Spain. No border signs. Not even a welcome board. It must have been like that for the airmen in WW2. Amazing views over the mountains back into France.   Day Two took us from Roncevalles to Zubiri. A far more gentle walk over 13 miles, almost level, but it rained hard nearly all day, which was not much fun.

The most amazing part of the last two days has been the views over the mountains, and then today looking back at the mountains across Beech Forests and mountains
